what your mouth won’t.
They’ll speak of the love you feel – the love
you’ve been hiding inside for so long.
They’ll tell me about the fear you have
to be vulnerable and frail,
to care about someone just too much
to put yourself out there, and be rejected,
and fail.
Your eyes will open up and shine
You can’t avoid this!
And they’ll cry out all the pain you’ve stocked so far.
You don’t need to utter a word
if I can read your eyes.
You’ve closed up, and it’s fine! Just fine!
Is it not what we are trained to do after all?
But every now and then,
we bump into someone who can read our eyes,
reach our souls, and see it all
all that we wouldn’t show to anyone
and, of course, it’s scary! OH! So scary!
But there is no point in fighting that
There is no point in running away or hiding
behind fake words.
We hurt ourselves so much in doing that!
And it’s no use anyways.
So now I’ve come to let you know
that your eyes are clear to me,
and I can reach your soul,
but you’ve nothing to fear!
I won’t use what I see to hurt you!
I promise I won’t!
Do you know anything about trust?
